Our mission is to throw the fantastic, surreal, hilarious and moving into everyday life and make people think.
Richard Headon and Jon Beedell are Artistic Directors of the Wye Valley River Festival. They take the audience on a mischievous journey with actors, singers, musicians and dancers who bring the central narrative of the Festival to life at each location, creating theatrical magic, mayhem and laughter. This approach is unique to the Wye Valley River Festival. Their task during the 2018 Festival will be to get audiences thinking about how trees and people connect in the sylvan landscape of the Wye Valley AONB.
Desperate Men are one of the UK’s most versatile and inventive outdoor arts companies, Desperate Men’s mischievous, warm-hearted work invites audiences to ask serious questions about the world. ‘There is an immediacy and intimacy with outdoor audiences in sharing a space and time where many things are beyond our control – who will come, who will stay and watch – the audience and the weather controls the space, so there are surprises waiting to happen all the time.’
