Creativity Award for Young Artists and Creators

The Competition

The Wye Valley has inspired artists for centuries: from the misty views of JMW Turner, to the romantic lines of Wordsworth, and more recently, the series “Sex Education”, have all drawn images, atmospheres and narratives from this beautiful area.

The Wye Valley River Festival is offering up to 4 awards of £400 to young artists who live, work, attend education or train in the Wye Valley Area Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), or who can demonstrate a relevant link to the area. The 4 selected works will then be put to a public vote online during the Wye Valley River Festival for the opportunity to win an additional £400.

This is an opportunity to create digital content (an audio or film file) which can be ‘premiered’ at the on-line Wye Valley River Festival 21 – 27 September 2020. It will also be used in our social media activities to support the Wye Valley River Festival and the ongoing work of the Wye Valley AONB Partnership.
