“River on the Border” and “Prelude (after Wordsworth)”
We are delighted to showcase two new pieces by Eleanor Holliday. “River on the Border” was composed in August 2019 whilst canoeing on the Wye in response to the dramatic loss of habitat for river species in Britain. “Prelude” was composed in February 2020 for the Wye River Valley Festival with the intention of being performed live by the George Choir on the banks of the Wye.
These pieces are being sung by Eleanor Holliday, Saira Todd and Daisy Burt from Acapellies choir in Stroud. Eleanor also runs Springhill Singers, another Stroud-based choir and the George Choir which is native to the Forest of Dean district.
