Come and marvel at the moon!
A special collaboration between Cadw & the Wye Valley AONB Partnership brings Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon to Tintern Abbey.
As night falls, a 7 metre wide fusion of lunar imagery and moonlight, suspended high in the ruins of the Abbey, will be illuminated. A surround sound composition, created by BAFTA and Ivor Novello award winning composer Dan Jones, accompanies the installation. Ticketed Event
There is a large shared car park near the Abbey entrance (charges will not apply after 6pm) with approx. 55 spaces, including 5 dedicated disabled spaces.
Daytime: Tintern Abbey is generally made up of flat lawn areas with some graveled paths. Mobility access to most of the site is achievable.
For the night time events we will have a designated disability access route into the Moon which will be light and stewarded. Please ask stewards to assist as part of the route needs to be lit by torch.
A toilet is available for users with disabilities and limited mobility.
