Tintern Abbey has been a place of pilgrimage for hundreds of years. Join our pilgrimage walk to the Museum of the Moon from Chepstow (6 miles, with some climbs and descents). Meet at the Wireworks Carpark in Tintern at 3pm, where you can park all day. A mini bus will transport you to the start of the walk in Chepstow where you will meet your guides for the walk from Chepstow Walkers Are Welcome. The route follows the Wye Valley Walk through the historic Piercefield Estate and ancient woodland before dropping down into Tintern where a traditional pilgrim’s soup supper will be served by the local community in the village hall, before visiting the Museum of the Moon in the Abbey.
Wear walking boots and wet weather gear if needed. (Please note public toilets are far and few on this walk!)
