Join Tintern Philosophy Circle for a spot of philosophical moon gazing when they try to answer the question, ‘The Moon, what does it mean?’
Dr. John Clarke will shine a light upon the mythical & astrological significance of the moon, Lunar Men and the age of Enlightenment, the moon and the scientific revolution, the tides and space travel. Ticketed event at Tintern Village Hall. Tickets: £6 includes entry to Museum of the Moon.
Very limited parking at the Village Hall for badge holders only.
There is a large shared car park near the Abbey entrance (charges will not apply after 6pm) with approx. 55 spaces, including 5 dedicated disabled spaces.
Daytime: Tintern Abbey is generally made up of flat lawn areas with some graveled paths. Mobility access to most of the site is achievable.
For the night time events we will have a designated disability access route into the Moon which will be light and stewarded. Please ask stewards to assist as part of the route needs to be lit by torch.
A toilet is available for users with disabilities and limited mobility.
