This feast for the eyes captivates young and old alike as two weeks of festive fun concludes with a community torchlight procession and a pyrotechnic display. As darkness falls torches are lit and the procession moves off weaving its way around the village and back to the riverside festival site. Collective ‘ooo’s’ and ‘ah’s’ from the audience echo along the riverbank as the pyrotechnics create ripples of reflection in the water.
Please note: In order to take part in the procession and carry a flaming torch you will need to arrive early and attend a safety briefing. Find out more here.
The Wye Valley River Festival Finale is held in beautiful riverside fields at Llandogo. We have a designated disabled parking area near the main entrance to the site which will be sign posted. This site is also ‘cross country’ but we endeavour to make it as accessible as possible. The site is all on mown grass with a slight slope in places. There is a hard standing path from the car park to the entrance of the site. There is an established grass path onto the main site. All of the performance areas are within striking distance of this path and all of the event structures will be accessible. If assistance is required at any point our stewards and staff will be happy to assist or advise.
If you wish to take part on the evening fire torch parade please speak to a member of staff and they will be able to advise you the best way to do this, as some stretches of the route will be challenging. We can advise a modified route for you depending on your access needs.
