The 2020 Wye Valley River Festival opens with a cornucopia of events and performances in the beautiful woodland surrounding Symonds Yat Rock. A heady mix of time travel, haiku poetry in the trees, tracking Wolves, visitors from the future and the ‘Avant Bard’ Welsh poet Rhys Trimble, will come together to create Tree Time as we get to grips with this year’s Festival theme of TIME. There will be woodland crafts and makes for children, music and theatrics under the trees all within five minutes’ walk of one of the most iconic viewpoints in the country (and the setting for the Netflixs hit Sex Education).
Bring your own picnic as there is limited catering on site at The Log Cabin Café. Check out ideas for a flavour-filled local picnic here.
