Will it ever be the same again?
Helen is a composer and singer who creates song-theatre performances based on testimony – from her east London neighbours about home, from war correspondents about their work, from people all over the world about a moment they told a lie or the truth, and the impact on their lives.
For the Wye Valley River Festival 2020 Helen has invited a wide variety of local people to write to her about their experience of living in the river valley during these recent radically different months. These writings have inspired the lyrics for an original new song for the valley, Will it ever be the same again? which she has composed and recorded. If you would like to sing along here is a link to the lyrics.
