The Wye Through Your Eyes – Film Making Project

We won’t be meeting you in forest and field this year, but want to keep hold of some of the magic of being together in the stunning landscape of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. So we are asking you to make and send us your very own short phone films showing your favourite local nature and landscape places. We would love to see a different side to the Wye Valley – as seen through your eyes (well phone camera’s eyes).

Your films will be featured as part of our ‘filmfest’ and shown alongside films by other artists and professional film makers during our online Festival.

Your films can be silent, or feature the sound of nature, or your voice. Take us to your favourite place and show, or tell us, what makes it special to you. You can stand still in one place or move around. It can be a small detail or the whole landscape.

The films need to be:

Maximum 2 minutes long
Made on your phone, tablet or a camera in landscape mode
Only natural sounds or voices – no pre-recorded music or images (that require Rights/Permissions)
To be your own original work
Suitable for a family audience
All films to be made in Wye Valley or the Forest of Dean

Submission deadline: 6th September 2020
